Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
If we cant see who we are in the eyes of God, or because if we have been so wounded in our life experience, that we have given up on the hope of being the saints. Of being excellent and noble and pure, free from unhealthy attachements. In short, if we have lost the hope to be who we are as children of God then we are like Bartimaeus, on the road, paralyzed and begging. And Christ comes to give us life, as he comes to give Bartimaeus his life. Because for Bartimaeus receiving sight was to receive a whole new horizon.
